2. Today the students started working on the following writing assignment.
“The Best Day of My Life”. You are to write a description of the day that you consider to be the best (so far). This is a personal narrative, so should be written in the first person (I…, me…., my…). It should also be a true story. You will need to describe what happened and why it was so wonderful. You will need to make sure your writing flows in a logical order, that it is written in good paragraphs, and that it begins and ends in an interesting way.
The stories are due Tuesday, March 3rd, they will be presenting them in Author Circles.
3. Thursday, March 5th the students have to present a short report based on one of their favourite stories from childhood. They will have time to work on this assignment in class on Monday and Wednesday.
